Our own data
Each city's rate is a median over ~30 properties, sampled three times a week. We compare a 30-day window against the one before it.
Hotels, not flights
We only alert on what we can measure well. Airfare moves on a single quote per route, so we quote it on the destination page rather than email you about it.
Rarely
A drop has to be big enough to act on, and you hear about a given city at most once a month. Implausible swings are held back for a human to check.
